Crossing into Uganda, the adventure continues through the lush jungles of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, renowned for its thrilling gorilla trekking experiences, and the scenic savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where tree-climbing lions and the majestic Kazinga Channel await.

Kigali City
Amity Safaris’ driver-tour guide will pick you up either at Kigali International Airport or at the hotel of your stay, brief you about the entire safari and then proceed with a visit to Kigali Genocide Memorial Site. Here, you will gain a deeper understanding of Rwanda’s tragic history and the remarkable reconciliation and resilience of its people.
Continue to the Presidential Palace Museum, once a home to the late President Juvenal Habyarimana, where the remains of his plane still lie offering insight into the events that shaped Rwanda’s modern history.
After the city tour, you will have lunch break and then head out of the city to Nyungwe Forest National park in the South Western part of Rwanda where Chimpanzee trekking and Canopy walk will take place.

After breakfast, you will head to the park for a briefing prior to Chimpanzee tracking that will begin at 07:30 am with a company of ranger guides into the forest in search for chimpanzees. Other likely encounters of primates’ species include blue monkey, L’hoest monkey, owl-faced monkeys, red tailed monkeys, crowned monkey, Velvet monkeys and Rwenzori Colobus.
Return to the Lodge for lunch and in afternoon you go for an exhilarating canopy walk experience of about 50-60 meters above the ground and the highest East Africa’s forest bridge.

The day will commence with a morning breakfast served at the lodge as you prepare to check out and proceed to Volcanoes National Park- Rwanda’s most iconic wildlife destination and part of the magnificent Virunga Mountain range. The scenic drive will go through Rwanda’s rolling green hills as you enjoy and appreciate its appealing landscape reaching your booked Lodge in the afternoon for check in and lunch.
In the late afternoon, you will head to the Gorilla Guardians Village one of the country’s leading cultural center for Rwanda Cultural experience and if interested you will take part in cultural performance. After that thrilling experience, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast at 07:00 am you will proceed to the park’s headquarters for briefing about Golden Monkey trekking rules and regulations prior to trekking. Accompanied by expert guides, you’ll embark on Golden Monkey Trek, venturing through the lush bamboo zones where these lively primates thrive. Watching them leap gracefully from branch to branch, their golden fur glinting in the soft forest light, is a joyful and unforgettable encounter.
After trekking, you will return to the lodge for lunch and there after bid farewell to the scenic Virunga ranges and begin your journey northwards to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas in southwestern Uganda. The drive will go through Katuna or Chanika immigration border post arriving at your booked lodge in the late evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Today’s tour is a once-in-a-lifetime experience of Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its dense rainforest and extraordinary biodiversity.
After an early morning breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers prior to Mountain gorillas trekking. The trek last for 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements, but the reward is worth it. When you encounter these gentle giants in their natural habitat, you will spend an hour in close vicinity observing their human-like behaviors.
After the trek, return to your lodge to relax and reflect on the day’s incredible adventure amid the serene forest environment.

After breakfast, embark on a 4–5 hours scenic drive northwards to Queen Elizabeth National Park, via the famous Ishasha Sector, renowned for its tree-climbing lions.
Stop in Ishasha sector for sighting of the rare tree-climbing lions and there after continue to your booked lodge, arriving in the late afternoon. Relax amid serene surroundings of Queen Elizabeth National Park awaiting the next day’s game drives and boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel

The day will commence with an early morning luscious breakfast at the lodge and thereafter head out for the game drive at Kasenyi plains where you will encounter several wildlife including; African Elephant, Buffaloes, Lions, Uganda Cobs, Leopards, Warthogs, Hyenas, and antelopes among others.
Return to the lodge for lunch break and thereafter go for the boat cruise at Kazinga channel for an additional wildlife and bird watching adventure cruising through the intersection of Lake Edward and Lake George. While on a boat cruise expect magnificent encounters like hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species upon which you will return to the lodge to dine and have a well-earned rest.

After breakfast, begin your scenic 6 –7 hours’ drive to Entebbe for departure. The journey takes you through the western Uganda’s stunning landscapes of rolling hills, tea plantations, and lively roadside markets offering a glimpse of everyday rural life.
You’ll travel along the Mbarara–Masaka highway with enroute stopover in Mbarara City for a relaxing lunch break at the renowned Igongo Cultural Centre & Country Hotel. After lunch, continue your journey making another stopover at the Uganda Equator in Kayabwe for a memorable photos standing astride the Equator line, and browse nearby craft shops for souvenirs.
Procced to Entebbe International Airport, arriving in the early evening for your return flight marking the end of your 8 Days Rwanda-Uganda Primates and Wildlife Safari with us.
