Amity Safaris’ driver-tour guide will pick you up from Entebbe International Airport or from a hotel of your stay down town Kampala in the morning and brief you about entire safari. You will then embark on your 3-hour drive journey through the Luwero-Gulu highway to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongora district arriving early afternoon, check in to your booked lodge for refreshments and lunch. 

After Lunch, you will head out for Rhino tracking led by an experienced Rhino Fund Uganda ranger who will guide you through the sanctuary while giving you as much information as you may wish to know. Tracking takes between 2-3 hours depending on how far or close the rhinos are found and once spotted you will be allowed 1 hour in the close vicinity of the rhinos, taking photos and learning about their routine interactions. Sighting of other encounters is most likely and these include bushbucks, red bucks, oribis, and monkeys among others.

After you track you will return to the lodge where you will have your dinner and overnight waiting for the next day’s adventure.

This is the last day of 2 Days Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Shoebill Safari will commence with a sunrise morning breakfast upon which you will head out for a 3 to 4 hours canoe safari to encounter shoebill in the swamp which is its natural habitat.

After the canoe trip, you will return to the lodge for Lunch and check out for transfer to Kampala arriving in early evening (by 5:00Pm Kampala time) for your stay or for a return flight at Entebbe International Airport.
