This 2 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Safari takes you to Volcanoes National Park a stop center for all Rwanda gorilla safaris and famous for sheltering the highest number of mountain gorillas in the Virunga Conservation area.
Your safari begins from Rwanda’s Kigali Capital City where you will have a city tour including Rwanda’s major historical sites like Kigali genocide memorial site and Presidential palace museum before heading to the Volcanoes National Park your destination for gorilla trekking. This safari is an adventurous experience that will give you a life time memories
Kigali International Airport
Amity safaris’ driver tour-guide will pick you up either at Kigali International Airport or at hotel of your stay and briefs you about the entire safari. Proceed with your adventure starting with Kigali City tour at Rwanda’s historical Kigali genocide memorial ground where over 25000 bodies of 1994 Rwanda genocide victims were buried. Other places to visit include Presidential Palace Museum, the main city market and Artisan shops.
After the city tour, you will have lunch break and then head out of the city to Volcanoes national park in northern part of Rwanda where mountain gorilla trekking will take place.

Lodge: Tiloreza lodge, Ingage Park View Lodge, Da Vinci Gorilla Lodge or any other equivalent depending on availability
Today is the main event of this safari and will commence with an early morning breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast at 07:00 am you will proceed with your packed lunch box to the park’s headquarters for briefing about mountain Gorilla trekking rules and regulations prior to trekking.
Gorilla trekking can range from one hour to six hours depending on the gorillas’ movements hence somehow strenuous at times but incredibly rewarding and worth having. Once these gentle giants “Mountain gorillas” are spotted, you will be allowed 1 hour observing them, taking photos and learning more about their routine human-like interactions.
After trekking, you will return to the lodge to check out and head back to Kigali for a return flight or at the hotel of your stay if you still have some time in Rwanda.

Bwindi National Park is mostly notable for harboring over 400 mountain Gorillas, half of the world’s mountain gorilla population coupled with a sanctuary of colobus monkeys, Chimpanzees, and home to a diversity of bird species like Hornbills and Tracos among others.
